About me
I am trained in psychodrama, a discipline that uses group and action work to explore our inner worlds. I qualified as a psychodramatist in 2009. I also studied the theory of psychotherapy at the Ashburn Clinic, a highly respected therapeutic community in Dunedin. In 2006 I began practising as a psychotherapist, and today I am an interim registered psychotherapist with the Psychotherapy Board of Aoteoroa New Zealand, and a provisional member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists.
I keep up to date with new findings in psychotherapy, and continually update my skills as a therapist. I am passionate about what I do, and excited at the advances being made in psychotherapy and neuroscience. I have a particular interest in working with trauma, and in using mindfulness practices to inform my work.
I moved to Auckland and the start of 2011, and now live and work in West Auckland. I also work as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.
